The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and natural gas workers on Saturday counseled the Federal government towards the issuance of bailout finances to state governments for the price of workers’ salaries.
The NUPENG’s South-West Chairman, Mr Tokunbo Korodo, gave the advice in Lagos.
The disbursement of bailout finances to the states became necessitated by means of the triumphing financial demanding situations which resulted in the non-price of people’ salaries by many states across the federation.
The state governments acquired N713.7billion as bailout finances from the federal government, to defray the backlog of salaries.
