A businesswoman, Yinka Adewusi, has been introduced earlier than a Chief Justice of the Peace’s Court docket in Ota, Ogun State, for allegedly slapping a police sergeant, Josephine Makinde.

Our correspondent learnt that detectives, who visited the warehouse, recovered a cell phone. Additional investigation was stated to have indicted Adewusi, and he or she was invited to the station.

“The complainant mentioned 10 jerrycans of 25 litres vegetable oil valued at N140,000 and 21 baggage of rice value N329,000 had been stolen from the warehouse. She shares the warehouse with different merchants in the neighborhood,” a police supply mentioned.

In line with the police, the suspect reportedly admitted coming into the warehouse round four.30am on the day to pack some items she purchased and stored therein the day before today from one Tinuke, however insisted that she met it burgled.

“Through the interrogation, the suspect mentioned the warehouse was already damaged into when she acquired there. The Investigating Police Officer (Makinde), requested her why she got here at the moment to convey the products when she knew the homeowners of the warehouse wouldn’t be round. She grew to become indignant and slapped the IPO,” the supply added.

The suspect was subsequently arraigned in Ota Justice of the Peace’s Court docket on one rely of assault.

Adjourning the case until February 6, 2017, the Justice of the Peace held that Adewusi must be saved in jail pending when her bail situations could be perfected.
