BREAKING: Policeman, five others arraigned fortheft

For allegedly robbing some Chinese language of N6m value of products and money, six folks, together with a police officer, had been on Thursday remanded at Kirikiri jail by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Courtroom.

The Justice of the Peace, Mrs O. A. Akokhia, refused to listen to the accused plea and remanded them in jail.

Akokhia adjourned the case to Dec. 22 for point out.

The accused are Sunday Onuh, 32, driver; Peter Owoicho, 30, home keeper; James Momoh, 20, driver; Emmanuel Audu, 32, unemployed; Francis Onuh, 32, and Gabriel Ochigbo, 32, a police officer.

The accused reside at Oworonshoki, Ogudu and Ikorodu, suburbs of Lagos.

They’re tried for conspiracy, theft and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp. Benedict Aigbokhan, advised the court docket that the offences had been dedicated on April 12, at Howson Wright Property, Ojota, and Medina Property, Gbagada, Lagos.

Aigbokhan mentioned that the accused robbed a Chinese language lady, Vicky CAO, of 4 laptops valued at N600,000, cellphones valued at N450,000 and money of N2.eight.

He mentioned, “Different gadgets stolen from Vicky CAO had been Ipad and wrist watches all valued at N5,a hundred forty five,000.

“The accused additionally stole Ms Angela Chinonso-Jeremiah cell phone, valued at N30,000.

“They robbed Mr Vega Wang of Ipads, laptops and money of N300,000, all valued at N660,000.

“The accused robbed one Mr Yunchun Lee of cell phone and money of N150,000, complete valued at N270,000.

“The whole valued of all of the objects stolen are N6,a hundred and five,000.”

Aigbokhan additionally stated that the accused have been caught with numerous arms like weapons of all variety and daggers.

The offences contravened sections 285, 295 and 409 of the Felony Regulation of Lagos State, 2011.
